Welcome

The Western Valley District is an association of high schools in central and southwest Virginia.  The Western Valley District was formed in 2001 with the consolidation of the old Roanoke Valley and Western Districts.  There are five current members including Patrick Henry High School and William Fleming High School from Roanoke.  Franklin County, Halifax County, and George Washington High School from Danville. EC Glass has joined the AA ranks in 2009 and will be competing in Region 3 and the Seminole District.
Schools in the Western Valley District compete in the Northwest Region and AAA Classification of the Virginia High School League.  The AAA classification is the highest level of athletic competition in the state of Virginia.
